Is This You?

I was recently speaking with my coach the other day and jokingly said, “I don’t need enemies, I have me!” The conversation involved my questions, and yes, struggles, with growing a business. After the call, I thought about my statement further and the number of times those voices in my head told me that “I wasn’t good enough!” or “I didn’t have what it takes!” Now, mind you, there may have been times when, in conversations with others, where I mentioned my ideas or talked about my dreams, and became discouraged by their words or even a look I received as I spoke. That was enough of a trigger for me to pause, start the negative conversations in my head, and just settle for my current state in life! But I have always felt there was more for me and more I needed to do! Has this happened to you?

Here's some tips I have used to quiet those pesky conversations in my head:

Awareness: Notice when and how you engage in negative self-talk.

Challenge Thoughts: Question the truth behind negative thoughts and challenge their validity.

Positive Reframing: Turn negative statements into positive affirmations.

Practice Mindfulness: Use mindfulness techniques like meditation to stay present and reduce negativity.

Positive Affirmations: Regularly use affirmations that boost self-confidence and positivity.

Journaling: Write down your thoughts to better understand and manage them.

Seek Professional Help: If negative self-talk is overwhelming, consider therapy, like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

Implementing some or all of these can lead to a better sense of self-worth and a more positive outlook. I would love to hear what has worked for you! Contact me at brokentoboldness7@gmail.com or visit my website at www.brokentoboldness.com.

Until next time!
